About 'The Track'
Coxford down raceway,Nr Basingstoke,Hampshire (or Popham as it was known in 80's & early 90's) is one of the south longest running mx track.

In 1998 when Schoolboy & Adult clubs stopped using the circuit, Des Helyar motorcycles took over the running of the track. We gave it a major face lift, totally new lay out, added new ground and new jumps It's was no longer the Popham of old.

Over the years we've tried to improve the track the best we can. We try (whilst also running the shop) re-grade the track as often as possible.

The adult track is approx 1.5 miles long and average lap times are around 3 minutes. The track features table tops, jumps,bomb holes, up and downhill jumps and small whoop section. The track is suitable for motocross and enduro bikes.

The kids track is a proper laid-out circuit with jumps, table tops etc The kids track is designed for 50cc-65cc bikes and novices on 85cc bikes.

We have on-site spares van with a range of products like oils,tubes,levers,chains,plugs as well a small range of clothing,helmets,body armours.If there is anything your require us to take to the track for you please give us a call on the Saturday and if we have it in stock we will bting it for you. We also a burger van on site as well as the ESSO petrol station next door.

Information
This is how we run, you turn up on the day, pay and go out and ride. We don't run groups so you go out as and when you want.  So dont worry if you have a break down or need to come in and adjust something, you wont have to wait hours for your next ride Running as we do has never been a problem in terms of safety, since 1998 you could count the number of times we've called and ambulance in on one hand!

Prices
Since 1998 the price has gone up once, £5!

No membership fee's to pay, just turn up, pay and ride!

£25.00 for adult track

£20.00 for kids track

Raceway rules
No riding in pits!
No pressure washers
Dogs to be kept on leads
No crossing or walking the track once practise has started.
Proper mx clothing to be worn.
Please use bins or take your litter home
No parking in cafe car park.

How to get there
If your coming from the M3 heading south (Winchester) you want to join the A303.If from the south A34 then A303.From West A303.TRack is next to Popham airfield which will be on your R/H side if on the A303 heading NORTH towards the M3 Basingstoke.You need to exit the A303 ath the ESSO garage which is just past the Airfield.Entrance to the track is next to cafe.
